Why a Dental Blog?
By: Dr. Brandon Taylor DMD

I am excited to kick off this blog. Blogs aren’t as novel as they once were and a blog about Dentistry certainly isn’t too exciting, but I am confident that the posts to follow will provide valuable answers for many patients.

I treat a wide variety of dental patients and have been doing so in private practice for nearly 15 years. I have found that I am consistently asked many of the same questions over and over. I also find that there is a lot of misunderstanding, fear, and a lack of trust that stands in the way for many patients. I hope this blog will educate and motivate. If you are looking for something specific, don’t hesitate to contact me.

There was a day when patients just went along with whatever their medical providers suggested. I don’t think it should be that way today. You are smart and capable of understanding and choosing between possible services or treatments. I view my role as an educator first and a provider second. In my practice, you have to take part in the process more actively than just sitting in the chair and paying the bill. I hope to provide you with some of the tools here to do so.

I will continue to let you get to know my team as I post, but for now, a quick intro. I have 2 practices. Boise Smile Design is my more specialized, dream practice where I implement the best of what I have learned in my nearly 20 years in dentistry and deliver it in the most ideal format I can imagine (1 patient at a time, on time). I provide full service dentistry with a special emphasis on cosmetic and implant dentistry. I am proud to be conservative in my approach, work by the “Golden Rule”, and strive for outcomes as perfect as modern dental science can achieve. My second home is Taylor Family Dentistry in West Boise. It is a very nice general practice with a team of providers treating all ages and dental needs.

I am excited for this blog to educate and inform you about our practice and about your dentistry choices in general.

Keep Smiling,

Dr. Brandon Taylor DMD
